The Ocracoke Preservation Society is a non-profit, community based organization dedicated to the preservation of Ocracoke Island's rich historical, cultural and environmental heritage.

Founded in 1983, OPS has maintained a free admission museum at the century old David Williams House since 1992 viagra online. Capt viagra online. The OPS Museum will open in the Spring of 2005 with it's 14th year of operation.  Check back periodically for date we will open and hours of operation.

Owners of contributing structures in Ocracoke's Historic District are being encouraged to purchase a hand-crafted plaque identifying their home or business. - Details here

The 2005 season of the Museum Porch Talks will be scheduled and posted soon.  Each presentation brings visitors and residents together to learn more about Ocracoke's history or information on other aspects of our lovely island, such as, the flora and fauna found here. - Details here

Commemorative Plaques

Plaques are now available to owners of contributing structures in Ocracoke's Historic District. Winners of the annual Historic Structure Award and participants in the Holiday Tour of Historic Homes will be made available first. The plaque was designed by Ocracoke resident, Len Skinner
